I am not Cliff Michelmore, I am Jim. I lived in the place that you are looking to take over. I do have some knowledge of Perth and the living conditions there. I offer my opinion as a guide to others, not a dictatorial. Please let me know which suburb you intend to buy your huge mansion with air con, so that I may live as far away as possible. JIM

I have to admit it is a little repetitive jim the point of the thread was advice on which unit to choose and not your childhood experiences for the 10th time ive counted in the last week lets stick to the point i think, why not start your own thread on your life experiences and we can read it once if we decide to Dave

I am not a high flying property developer who intends to move to Perth and buy the biggest house and the fastest boat and the hungriest 4 x 4. I am a plumber who was raised in WA who has an opportunity to return. My reasons for wanting to emigrate are spiritual(to a degree) and practical (as in the future of my children). I am not looking to live life in the fast lane and flash my cash about. I am not an arrogant show off who takes every opportunity to flash his property developing wealth to all that can be bothered to read his posts. Air con, 4 x 4, big boat. The best advice I can give you on these subjects involves an industrial quantity of non petroleum jelly and a place where the sun doesn't shine very much. Regards JIM

To be honest Jim theres only one person trying to impress anyone on here m8 ive just read through the last months threads and to be honest your knowledge about Perth is about as relevant or as informative as anyone who has had a holiday there recently.I grew up in Bradford its certainly not the same place as it was 20 years ago and i would suggest unless Perth is in a time warp then your advice is nothing more than a regressed point of view of a place long gone.It is a forum and heres a clue the header usually gives a pointer as to what the author is looking to find out and it would be more helpful to either give factual advice on that point or not i think the not! would be a good start Jim But i leave the last word to you as i guess you need it! Oh for Christ Sake is this take the piss out of Jim night again, all Jim is doing is giving his opinion and also a little bit of a history lesson, if you are not interested in what he is saying then just not read them and read other peoples. Kind regards Jacqui

I did live in WA and I went to school there as well. I did not go there for a holiday (unless you class the 30 odd weeks I have spent there on holiday over the last 18 years). I know more about the place than you do. Fact. I can drive blindfold from Weld Square to Riverside Drive in Riverton. I know which way the rip works at Cot Cove. Ever heard of Supernaut? Go pick your nose JIM

Why, has the rip changed? Enlighten me oh knowledgeable one. Contribute to this site with some of your experience of Australian life. Help others to form an opinion of life down under from your own takings on living in Australia. We await your wisdom, oh clever one.

We are in a pub. I am having a beer at the moment. I offered an opinion, someone got sarcy with me, so I got sarcy back. Someone else butted in with more sarcy comments so I shot him down with my superior intellect. A girl jumped in and told us all to calm down. The bloke that started it all with his irritated tone, told me to have a beer. I am having it now. Cheers

Our system is 6 zone. If you go for 4 zone you won't be able to operate the bedrooms independently. We have an outlet in each bedrom, 3 outlets in the family/kitchen/meals area and 2 outlets in the formal living and dining. This has worked well for us in terms of cooling and heating. Ours isn't either a Daikin or LG but I am led to believe that Daikin are the best.
