A new series of Wanted Down Under started a few week back in UK and was just wondering what peoples thoughts were of the series so far who have seen it, for those who are like us, unfortunately still in UK....!!

|Yes I started watching it as well. Put it onto series link through Sky plus. All the destinations look amazing but mostly interested in Perth which seems to be on a Wed each week. The only thing that seems to be coming out of each programme is the cost of living and every couple when they do their sums seem to be much worse off. This is really worrying. What does everyone else think?

|Hi Kendal...we've done the very same thing as you....series link through sky plus....!! its the future, wonder if they have that in oz...lol
I agree with you about the cost of living thing but it makes think that even with all the shortfalls with respect to salary's being less than UK and with being worse off, they all still vote for oz at the final vote off......so it cant be that bad I suppose...

|The cost of living is more expensive in WA and rents are really high compared to other parts of OZ.We lived and worked there for 10 months, but over all,we saved more money whilst in Perth than we ever did in the U.K, and we didn't have fancy Jobs. Its a balance really,we didn't have a swimming pool and a plasma tv in every room and our household bills were really low,and fuel is really cheap. Some things in Perth are just a belatant rip off and they always have the excuse that everything has to be flown in,but a pint of swan beer which is brewed localy will still set you back $8-$9.We have now re located to the east coast and Rentals are half the price and things are much more reasonable. But work is easier to find in WA. |

|I know....did you watch the one where the woman was going to leave her 14 yr daughter behind for a life in Oz. Couldn't quite believe that one. A 14 yr old in my eye is still a child and wouldn't get left behind whether she liked it or not!
I am quite sure when I go out in April for my week that I will fall in love with Perth cause everyone says it is beautiful. Can't wait.
What about yourself......you in the process of applying?
