|How do primary children fair in school in Australia who have dyslexia. Are they given extra support as in the UK. Is it something that is recognised and supported? Andrea|

|Recognised ... as it is in most places but education is VERY underfunded here particularly for SEN.|

|I suppose it depends on the school they go to but unlike the Uk, you have to pay for an assessment which is around $600 but the school my child goes to has very good provisions to assist with dyslexia and the normal things like being given extra time in exams etc are also here as long as you have the evidence to support it.
