Just wondering if anyone out there has any knowledge/experience of work related injuries.
My cousin works for a very small business and today injured his hand badly - attended ED. I asked him if he had completed accident form etc. Apparently his boss has told him that they don't do that sort of thing at his company and actually actively discouraged him from attending the Emergency Department. Luckily my cousin who is not a big fan of hospitals realised he needed hospital treatment and went anyway. My cousin is a mechanic and so his hands are his tools. He has told me he has no choice but to go back to work after the long weekend. (thank god it is a long w/e) to help the recovery/healing process. Surely small business's have insurance to cover such things and are required by law to fill in accident forms?
Appreciate any help/info.
