|Hi We are coming to Perth for a rekkie in April 10. I am liking the look of Mandurah. My husband is a fire alarm engineer, does anyone know of any companis in that area? We have 3 children aged 11,8 and 4. What are the schools like?
Would love to meet up with families in this area when we come over.|

|Hi, we have the usual multinationals such as Tyco (wormald) and Chubb plus a few locals. I think chubb are in Jandakot and Bunbury, Wormald are also in Bunbury and Rivervale (east perth metro). There are a few locals in Malaga and Osborne Park (both north of river).
From Mandurah the closest would be Jandakot and for the Malaga / Osborne Park /Bunbury it will be about the same travel time i would guess at about 1.5 hours each way (using google maps timing).
Can't help with schools etc as we live north of perth. |

|mandurah has its charm, but if you look at the rivers and inlets around it, you'll realise that mossies can be a problem, so just be careful of the attraction of being near a river/lake...the oceanside is ok as the seabreeze helps keep the flies/mossies at bay. the downside is that the salt corrodes outdoor light fittings, roofs etc. DON't let this put you off, as its a zillion times better here than the uk...you just need to be aware, so you don't become a whinging Pom !!|
