I had heard from somewhere that if you have been working in Oz for 10 years or more that you qualify for some kind of state pension. Not heard anything about it properly and dont know if this is true? if so does your 10 years start from when you starting paying tax in Oz or do you have to do anything else? We know that whatever our UK state pension was at when we left the country that that will never increase but we are entitled to what we accumalated. Any advise would help - Sharron

Hey there not to sure of the here & now?? but my partners is ( 38) west Ozzie born and bread and he told there will be no state pension for him as they are doing away with them!!!!! You will have to live on what you put in to your super!!!! Sam

Thanks for the reply - i did think the same as you said - oh well at least we know now and the supers over here are more than the UK ones so maybe just have to increase them in time - Sharron
