Hi I want to have some major dental treatment done requiring two crowns and two teeth on a bridge to fill a large gap, all this is going to cost about $7,000. I don't have health insurance but need it to be able to afford the treatment. Does anyone have any recommendations on a provider? Cheers Diana

Get it done in Thailand or Malaysia and have a holiday at the same time and still have change in your pocket!

we used medibank private when we were there but you should be aware that you will need to wait for a qualifying period and also there is a limit to how much you can claim per year. i can't remember exactly what it was and fortunately we didnt need much done. the waiting period is usually 12 months for major dental work. but even with private, you wont get anywhere near that amount of coverage i wouldn't think - probably looking more like a maximum of around 800 dollars per year or thereabouts - but likely to be less than that.

I agree with simonc, much cheaper to have major dental work in Thailand.
