Hi Austin I am really worried about the exchange rate at the moment its great if your coming from Oz to the UK but the other way round is not worth thinking about. Obviously I have recently sold my house but with the equity from house I anticipate its probably not wise to transfer any monies until it goes up it could be another 10 years at this damn rate. Oh why didnt I go a few years ago when the going was good arrggh!! Debbie

Just wait to see what happens with the fallout from K Rudd's stupidity in imposing the mining super tax - he hasn't understood how powerful the mining giants are and the Australain economy (and thus Aus dollar) could be in for a hammering. (This is just my opinion from observation - I am not qualified to give advise)

Clever Kevin is certainly not thick, but undoubtedly arrogant like all pollies. That said there is most definitely plenty of rubbish being spoken by both sides of the debate. In these sort of cases I tend to look to see what those with no axe to grind make of the proposals. Both the World Bank and the OECD are saying the proposed tax is about right. Mind you when did truth or logical debate ever win the day. UDI for WA !!

with a whole lot of daft policies to boot! We were driving our kids to swimming today and drove past three schools. All three had massive building work going on. We are trying to build a house, it is impossible to get trades HOWEVER in six months when there is no money left there will be no jobs. Why the hell they didnt stagger it is beyond me. Our second thought was we would loved to have been the sign maker who won the contact for making the 'Stimulus Package' signs that all schools are displaying. I would rather they spent the money on reading books than on signs.
