hi , we were thinking of renting/ buying in yanchep as it is cheaper but is there a lack of facilities such as leisure centre/etc nearby?.i wasn,t sure if joondalup was the closest place for that sort of thing or if there are plans later.we visited there in 2006 and didnt know whether it was still regarded as isolated.we really like yanchep but we have 4 kids to keep amused (13, 9 and 3 year old twins!).

Hi we lived in Yanchep and Two Rocks for a while (2 years) it is still quiet and you have to be committed to travel really for lots of social stuff. We used to take kiddies swimming in Butler and now Marmion Ave open is alot quicker! Ballet and dance classes used to be up there but now moved down to Clarkson, theres the Nippers life saving during Summer, and two Rocks community centre has a few groups going on, theres the Yanchep community hall as well. Theres plenty of playgroups, and you have the option of both Yanchep and Two Rocks school, and then Mindarie as a senior school too. We love Yanchep however and although the travellling was hard we love dliving there. Think you have to think about work too as both hubby and I worked near to the city so alot of travelling. If you want to know more PM me, we know Yanchep very well, Good luck Laura x
