We used Britannia to move from the UK to Melbourne, there were excellent. We are using Pickfords in a weeks time to move to Tasmania. John Mason. we got a quote from them. They said we need one and half containers and would have to also pay a fee in case the container was contaminated and need washing at this end. This was all not true. We got quotes from other removal companies and they said that they where insuranced if there is a problem with the container, so you should not have to pay that. We also got everything into a 20ft container and two companies quoted us based on that. So all in all John Mason would have cost us a lot more money that was not necessary.

Otherwise known as Anglo Pathetic. They don't enjoy the best of reputations sadly.

Well this was 3+ years ago so should think the prices have changed now. They did come in a bit more expensive but really couldn't fault the work they did in the Uk and here.

John mason will try to charge you for insuring the container, he will also under estimate the volume so it costs you more. These two things happened to us. We went with Britannia I could not fault the service or insurance claim for a couple of items after wards. If any company wants you to insure the container at this end in case it needs cleaning it is a scam, check with other insurance companies, they should have that covered on their insurance already. As to John Mason he quoted us as having two containers, we only needed one. We have just used Pickford's to move from Melbourne to Victoria, I had more stuff broken on that small trip than on the journey from the UK to Melbourne.

Hi' We used John Mason Over 3 years ago when we moved to Victoria. They came highly recommended by a friend of mine. They used them to move their goods to Perth. They did an excellent service for us. They estimated spot on with their estimate and was equally as competitive as the other quotes we received. Good luck with your move.
