Hi All, Just a quick question! The removals company are due in 3 weeks time trying to make sure everything is ready to go. I know everything being clean is very important so just wondered does everything need disinfecting or just things like shoes, golf clubs etc? Should I clean all the kids toys, the furniture etc??? Please help! Many thanks, Clare

Hi Clare, The cleanliness is in regards to quarantine nasties which are things like dirt, insects, webs, grass, leaves, untreated wood, wood with bark, and things of that nature. Bringing the family's germs over is just fine so there's no need to disinfect, just clean. With my container shipment, the Quarantine inspectors seemed to only have targeted any boxes which were labeled with anything of potential high risk such as bikes, shoes, camping gear, roller blades, etc. Cheers,

Hi Spray the bike with jeyes fluid so when they inspect they can smell it and also they might think they have been used in the past or you could (maybe) get charged on GST have known that to happen!!!as some goods have to be over 6 monthes old We cleaned everything and they as last post said they pick out a few boxes to be checked like shoes and husbands tools etc Christmas trees and decs were also checked Anita
