Advice needed if possible. We are currently living up North in Tapping where we are very settled and really love it but my hubby works all the way down in Henderson. He really likes working for the company he works for but the travelling is starting to get to him. We are contemplating moving south, but not too far as I work in Nedlands, and looking at Beeliar, Success or possibly Baldivis. My eldest is going to high school in February so if we make the move we need to do it by then. Could anyone give me any advice on what the high schools in these areas are like. Private is an option but whether we would get him in one at such short notice is another thing so happy to find out about public schools too.

|well like the last person we are in atwell with 1 daughter in atwell college and another due to start there in february. we have heard good an bad reports on the school but thats the same no matter what the area or whether private or not. i do know there is emmanuelle that is between beeliar and success which is suppose to be ok. You also have Leeming that seems to have a good rep at the moment. We have no complaints on Atwell college my Daughter has a great set of friends and has also come on leaps and bounds in her education. she is in what they call the care class for her year which is the top class that helps others.
the areas are great to live in (renting in atwell) but building in Aubin grove, we also liked the look of hammond park but had trouble securing the land.

|Hi and thanks for the information. Do you know what the boundary limits are for Atwell College as I couldn't access them on their website. It looks like Atwell College could be ideal as they start there in year 7 which means we could move now, rather than waiting for Oliver to move into year 8 at high school here.
Also do you know what the primary schools are like and if there are any that have out of school care centres nearby?

|ok back to front i know but will answer your last question first, We have the youngest in Atwell Primary, just off tapper road. she also attends out of school care after school and occasionally during the holidays. around $20 for after school from 15.05 to latest 18.00, vacation care is around $50 a day they do go on trips and do various activities and the earliest you can drop them is 08.00 and again latest is 18.00 for pick up. this is held in the community centre in atwell straight across the road from the primary school however they do pick the children up and walk them to the centre. They also do trips with Harmony & success out of school care which would tie in with the other primary school in Atwell and success.
i cant seem to find the boundary information but from memory so dont quote me on this i believe this goes to rowley road and armadale road then over into success but not sure where this finishes. i only remember this as we checked this out when purchasing our block.
hope this helps

|We love it down south but not everyone's cup of tea!!
clsoe to everything in the transport side as well as local shops and not far from the beach so all good.
let us know how you get on with getting the rental and may be a drink in the gate once settled!!|
