You can down load the forms from http://ukinaustralia.fco.gov.uk/en/ Once completed you will have to go to certain post offices only (for some insane reason) To find out which ones visit http://auspost.com.au/index.html You will have to make an appointment, it is probably better to complete all your documentation before going (if you are confident enough) it will save you a lot of time. Deliver takes approx 4/6 weeks. Not sure about the cost as I wiped that from my mind asap due to the expense :)

Thankyou - I will have a look asap, this is for renewing a UK passport? It doesnt expire until Oct 2011 but as we have booked a holiday for next year I thought I might as well start looking into as you have to have 6 months left on it to travel on - Sharron

Sorry forgot to ask. Do they put a new visa into the new passport or do you have to travel with the visa one also? Sharron

No they do not put a new visa in your passport. My wife when travelling back to the uk takes both passports - not sure if you ned to as it should be electronically tagged on their system when you come back in. (However as we are in Oz its best to play safe :) )
