Hi was wondering if anyone out there who is a sparkie could give my husband some advice on what he has to do to be able to work in Oz. We have been here a week and a half and seem to be going round in circles with everyone we contact. He is getting conflicting advice...........blue card/white card, gap courses, contractors course, have his qualifications certified etc. Can anyone point him in the right direction or do you know of anywhere we can go and speak to somebody like at a careers centre etc. Thanks everyone

there is only the 3 places that do the course but depending on your visa and where you go you could pay alot more, for example college of electrical training wanted $850 from me and polytechnic west in balga only wanted $199, for the same course. I am going through the process now and I start in the balga campus on the 1st of nov. I have the details if you would like them let me know and I will send them to you.
