The dictionary states pommy(ies)Sling word used by Australians and New Zealanders for a BRITISH person which is English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish. Sometimes shortened to POM.

That's exactly what I found, but neither English, Scottish, Welsh nor NOrthern Irish people like being called british.
