|Trying to find out where the kids normally go after Mindarie Primary before attending Senior College. Any help would be appreciated.

|The state school would be Kinross college, goes from yrs 6-10. There are private schools in the area too. Kinross doesn't have the best rep, my 2 did go there for 1 term 2 years ago but I took them out, may have all changed now but I do know people who's kids go there, some are happy, others not.|

|Where did you put your kids into then and are they happy there? Would you recommend this school? Kendal|

|My youngest is at Kinross Primary which is good but I don't really want her to go to the college so not sure whats going to happen there. My older 2 got to Duncraig Senior high, it's an excellent school, one of the best in the northern suburbs and my 2 love it. Can't recommend it enough and they do take out of catchment. My 2 catch the train and bus to get there each day, 50 cents each way with a smartrider.|

| I thought Mindarie was in catchment for Clarkson but I am not 100% and I can't find anything on the DET website to substantiate it. |

|Hi, in answer to your query... Mindarie Primary School from a couple of months ago now feeds into Clarkson and Kinross as a state option, it used to be just Clarkson but it doesn't have a great rep so the school wanted to give the parents more options other than just the private one. There are also two private schools for the senior years also in Mindarie with others also in the area and another Baptist school opening next year I believe Alkimos way.
But Mindarie Senior College is for years 11 & 12 only so your children would not go straight from primary school to the college. It's got a very good rep, even the kids in the private schools next to it are leaving to attend the state Senior College.
Hope this help,

|Thanks for this Vicki. We are now thinking private for the first couple of years at secondary and then possibly to Mindarie Senior when they are older. Not coming from a religious family at all, which private school would you suggest around that area?|
