On our visa grant notice, it says that migrants can get concessional one way air fares through the International Organization for Migration. Has anyone here arranged their travel through the IOM and was it cheaper or is generally better to seek out deals in the normal way through the internet and travel agents?

We transferred our money via HiFx and got a discount from Qantas and the 40 kg lugagae allowance, too. If memory serves right about 30-40% discount.

This isn't as straightforward as we first thought. Seems we need an unstamped visa and we validated ours last year so won't qualify for the migrant rates. That aside, the real shock was with Qantas. We can get an online quote for the four of us in May for

We've flown with Emirates twice now and both times they have been really good and I think they have a sale on at the minute. Good Luck with the search!

The procedure must have changed. HiFx simply supplied me with a code and a phone number and it was all plain sailing.
