Hi Just take everything you can fit in, that what we need. When you are here it is nice to have your own things when you get a house etc. I did buy extra stuff like clothes, bedding. Good luck Anita

Hi I had some advice from my uncle and a few friends over here and that was to take with you what you would take if you were to move around the corner!! Best advice ever! you can get cheap 100 piece set for kitchen utensils and pans from the likes of Kmart etc (98$) with the bedding the king size quilts fit in the queen size covers out here so at least bring a 4.5tog for the summer the winter ones you can generally pick up in the target sale for around $80-90. pick up some decent sheets as these can be expensive. we filled every gap in a box whether we filled it with dusters, dishcloths pegs etc... who was your quote from? we have used atlantis think they are near your area fantastic service, and will tell you the cost to ship individual items so you can make a judgement as to whether you ship or leave. we even shipped washer and fridge freezer only just replaced the fridge freezer when we moved into the new build! but sold on gum tree for $225. we only filled half a container and cost us 2K generally dont need wardrobes as most home and rentals have these in! hope this helps Trudie

I have just had three quotes for 20ft container.....3.500.....4.000 and 4.800... All of which has been recommended on either here or by friends who have already moved.. I have been told white goods are expensive as is bedding so I am filling every space I can.
