Hi Guys I am looking to come out to Perth at the end of August. Can you please advise me on what you could expect to pay for a rental out in Perth 3 or 4 bedroomed? Which are the better suburbs both North and South please to start looking at I am sure this question has been asked so many times before but it is such a minefield. Many thanks Debbie

Hi Debbie It really does depend on what you're looking for and the standard of property that you want. Take a look at it gives you a really good look at the properties that are available, but you can pay anything from $350 to well over $1000 per week it depends what you are willing to accept. We did a quick rekkie visit back in April to make sure we liked the place before we accepted a job offer. we had originally set ourselves a budget of $400 to $500 but since our visit we have moved that up $850 max but we have the added problem of two dogs and realise that we will have to offer a little bit more to get the standard of house that we want. As for Suburbs we have decided that we are North people but again it depends on what you want, how close to trains, do you have kids, so what school do you want to be near, do you want access to the city for night life etc. We prefered the costal suburbs and decided that up as far as Hillarys would be far enough out for us but rent prices reflect that you are near the beach. At bit further north there are new subdivisions but as with the South suburbs with all the new subdivisions we found them a bit souless (and that's not to upset anyone who lives in these suburbs but we wanted somewhere with a bit of centre to it) We've decided to get here and rent somewhere short term and have a good look around till find somewhere we like. Good Luck and let us know how you get on. Hope this helps Cheers Jan
