Hi Guys Can anyone please advise me as to the best Sat Nav to acquire in Perth please at a reasonable cost? Also, the best place to buy them from please? I would like to buy one as soon as I arrive so getting around is not a problem getting around (no good at map reading)!! Like here in the UK they say the Tom Tom is the best having said that I have a Tom Tom and it hasnt been much good I have to say. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Debbie

Hi, I have Tom Tom XL here, rarely use it to be honest. The UBD book is a must to have in my opinion. My Mrs couldn't map read either, but she certainly can now!! Cheers Sy

Hi, we have used a Tom Tom since being in Melbourne. We just downloaded all the relevant maps in the UK before we came over and it has invaluable to us. Andrea

We got given a sat nav with Oz maps loaded on it as a leaving present and when we first arrived this was brilliant. After about 2 weeks when we had got our bearings we bought a UBD map and this helped us to look around more and try to use landmarks to find our way rather than being reliant on the sat nav. We keep the sat nav in the car just incase but hardly use it now.
