Thats great, thank you. I have called Crown and PSS, Crown were very expensive!! PSS visiting next week. Can we stock up on Chocolate, HP sauce, etc in container?? Our friends said Choc is yuk in Oz and HP sauce very expensive! Also can we buy new bits to take for house? Lamps, bedding, hoover, dishwasher etc?? Will that be ok or will we have to pay?

Hi yes crown very expensive, we've just had 3 quotes for moving from NZ to Perth and Crown where most expensive, we have gone with Allied Pickfords in the end. we have friends who used PSS to move from UK to NZ and found them excellent. I'd be a bit wary of moving food in your container mainly due to the extremes of temperature that the container is likely to go through , don't think chocolate would make. If you're buying new stuff to bring make sure you tags etc off and take out of packets etc so they don't look new. Hope youhave a good move.

Hi, we chose PSS when we moved to Perth from Bedford in September last year. We honestly couldn't fault them, theirs was not the cheapest quote we had but it's very difficult to compare like with like as you will no doubt find out. We had a 40' container but didn't quite fill it but from memory I think a 20' is going to cost between

Hi we got Crown to price match PSS and we are sorting out our own insurance a lot cheaper, we was going to to send food but got told not to bother customs would go through all of our stuff, so just buying some new stuff and going to take it out of the packaging, not going to buy white goods here they are about the same price in OZ hope this helps Darren

Hi sorry no kids so no advice on schooling. Sure there are plenty of others reading this who can give advice in that area. Our view of the cost of things is probably not the best as we've been living in New Zealand for the last 5 years so we've stopped converting prices but I suppose things do look more expensive now due to the exchange rate. We arrive in Perth on 7th July so no experience of living there yet, best advise really is you have to start thinking in Oz dollars as that is what you will be earning. Hope the move goes well and let us know when you arrive.

Hi We are moving to Perth in August, we went with Pickfords, as they have their own agents in Perth. They are very professional compared to the other quote we got, (Anglo Pacific and John Mason). They are a bit more expensive but they will advice you all the way. Also I managed to ask for a reduction on our quote which they did for us. So far really impressed with them. Our 20ft container is costing

I have a job in Fremantle so am looking at Hamilton Hill or near Rockingham. I have to check out schools for my children, which is the most important thing. When are you going?
