Hi I have been looking at suitable areas for months and months and I somehow feel drawn to Connolly for some reason. I just wondered what the suburb and Primary School is like please? Is there much to do in this area? Also, I will be working in Osborne Park is it a fair commute on the Mitchell Highway in morning? Also, my daughter is looking at attending Edith Cowan Uni possibly Joondaloop is this easy enough to get to from this suburb. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Debbie

Debbie, We rented in Connolly when we first landed in 2005 and it is a well established, tidy suburb. It's very close to Joondalup/ECU so your daughter won't have any problems getting to Uni. I commuted to osborne park both by car and by train when we lived in Connolly and also when we bought a house in Joondalup and you can expect it to take around 45 minutes door-to door to commute either by train or by car. Your nearest train station in Connolly would be Joondalup or Edgewater depending on which end of the suburb you live in. We lived in Joondalup for 5 years, up until recently and again this is a well established suburb with good travel connections although the Mitchell freeway gets a bit clogged from 7am heading to the city. Searching Marshy's posts would be a good idea for more info on the primary schools but we have been told that the primary schools in both areas are good and come out well in educational reviews. As to whether there is much to do in this area, this depends on your interests we have found that all the things we want to do are accessible in the northern burbs but if you have a more unusual set of interests you can sometimes find that you have to travel a bit further afield to find things. You will be close to the beach, close to a reasonably decent shopping centre (which is open on sundays!) and most things are catered for in the Joondalup area. Steve

Hi, My daughter goes to the primary school and she loves it. I moved her there at the start of the school year and she settled in no time. It is quite a small school and has a really nice feel to it. The principal has been there for years so school seems to run really well. Connolly itself is a nice suburb, if I could afford to live there I would in a flash!! Bee
