Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a pty Limited Co in WA whilst being on a 457 Visa? My old company have asked to me to continue working for them here and have offered me shares in the business we set up here to do so....

Not as far as I am aware. Your 457 is limited to the employer on it and you mustn't work for anyone else. My husband was contract in the UK and was told he could not do the same here until he had a PR visa.

Thanks, I'm actually de facto on my husbands 457 Visa so in theory I have no work restrictions. However, I suspect I am restricted in setting up a Ltd Co.

Ah OK, I misunderstood. My friend was able to get an ABN when her husband was on a 457 so I am not sure if that helps. Good luck.
