Hi if anyone is looking at this company for short term rental or car hire i would defo not recommend them as there service is very poor and very unprofessional :(.....we would recommend no birds for car hire service is brill and look on holiday lettings as there are a lot of nice places on there we used on from Ron and he has 2 houses and they are both very nice and the service is great

Hello Jim and Kate , i see that you have now found another forum to poste regular bad reviews of my business on to. You will quickly see that i have a large number of very satisfied clients who return to me year upon year. Every company has a bad apple client and you were most certainly mine - the fact is that you booked short term accommodation which you then cancelled and were upset at the fact that you could not recouver your non refundable deposit. You were ill prepared for migrating at that time and expected my business to pick up the cost for your poor planning and correspondance.I have delivered faultless service to hundreds of clients that look at the Aussiemove website.Its a great shame that you dont pit as much effort in to planning as you doing 'bad mouthing' my business.I wish you nothing but every success in your new life down under and hope that you can see that this pointless , childlike vendetta needs to end. I have already posted about your company on this site but feel I need to add my thoughts I have used your car hire service on 3 previous occasions and have only experienced friendly, helpful,professional service. I always recommend you to all that ask for recommendations and will continue to do so.

Hi Simon - so true that not everyone can be happy all the time. I have used Mindarie Car Hire for the past 4 years and the people and the service have been really helpful, friendly and very professional. I would recommend you to anyone who asked and plan to use your company for many years to come - sharron

Hello everyone - i have checked other Forums and can see similar posts to this - look at Poms in Perth etc - just goes to show how vindictive Jim and Kate have become. - Mark from Poms in Perth and i know each other very well and have discussed many issues over the years including difficult clients - i get the feeling he's going to tell me 'told you so' as i always said it hasnt happened to me! i will be writing to all forums to get this biased junk removed. Jim and Kate please stop this unnessary bombardment and enjoy your life here - we all made mistakes when emigrating but most of us chose not to blame others. Simon you are the person who was shouting down the phone and very rude to me (a woman),because of that phone call we did not use you. You never even apoligised.my huband had a medical emergency and you were not even interested and we flew out 2 weeks later when all sorted , so as for being ill prepared you should not comment on things you didnt even let me speak.The right thing for you to do would have been to refund our deposit after your rudness.I am sure you have many happy customers whom you have treated well and saddly it seems we caught you at a bad time.because of the way you have treated us we would not recommend you as you had the opportunity to fix it and never responded.

Dear Jim & Kate You really shouldn't whinge about non refundable deposits as NONREFUNDABLE is what they are and that's what travel insurance is for - refunding this kind of cost in unexpected circumstances.............I assume you took out travel insurance when you booked, if you didn't then unfortunately that is the risk you took and bad mouthing others not going to remedy anything - it will only make you feel worse.

Hi fairylights we were never told deposit was non refundable,we emailed several times before phone call for contract which we still have not got,all we wanted to do was change dates for 2 weeks so dont expect abuse down phone and no time to explain why i was phoning as i thought matter would be better dealt with this way rather than email.The way it works in uk is you must state it is non refundable deposit and you must give contract to seal deal both of which were not done.We are only giving our opinion on our personal dealings with them and not whinging.

I can understand your frustration but to be honest most deposits are non refundable, especially at such short notice. Businesses like holiday homes, car hire etc are booked so far in advance and its probably nearly impossible to change dates or get someone else to book in your place at short notice - Im sure no one intentionally set out to make things awkward for yourselves, guess its all just part and parcel of moving to another country. Probably not going to make you feel much better but things can go much much worse than loosing a deposit, some people actually loose their containers at sea, Im sure some people can tell you some right horror stories :o)

You have come across as a whinging customer as all you have done is slagged off the Company, not really a review but a whinge. You can't cancel or postpone things at short notice and expect everything to work for you. Simon (who I have never met or done business with) is trying to run a business, I wouldn't have refunded your deposit either if you canceled at short notice. You are dealing with Australian regulations when booking anything in Australia, from anywhere in the world.

Treatment as in what??? this is what I mean, you say he treated you badly but you only said he was rude in a phone conversation, for all anyone knows your demands were unreasonable.

Hi Jim and Kate , hope you are well. I have continued to see my business discussed on various forums and have seen people now starting to make comments on you as well. I was still left with an empty property and you lost your deposit and we can argue forever about the rights and wrongs of it all - why not do something positive instead. Lets Perth has given large sums of money to various local Perth charities over the last few years - special needs children funds , Cancer charities and funds for the homeless. I propose to donate the sum of $750 to a WA Cancer charity to put this saga to an end and maybe then we can all move on ??? i will post this on to other forums and await your response - i will of course email the bank receipt for the donation to you for your information. It is a shame that you will be out of pocket, but it is a very worthy cause. My husband and I used this company and I can't recommend then highly enough. As we were departing the UK we relied heavily on email correspondence, especially when we initially landed and Lets Perth gave us a no fuss service. We emailed exactly what we wanted and when, the car was delivered on time and brand new. Then we changed car half way through our hire period again with no fuss. Rates are very reasonable compared to most car hire companies. I would ask, what was so poor about their service that you feel you needed to write on this forum to specifically deter people from using them?

I can also add that we used both Lets Perth & the car rental business as well when we arrived away back in 2009, We couldn't fault the accommodation or the car hire, we got such a great deal we ended up hiring the car for nearly 4 month (thanks Simon)and hired the mini bus for a weekend and only got charged cost price. Wouldn't go anywhere else and would recommend both companies to new clients.
