Can anyone advise on whether its a viable thing to ship over the mattresses of our beds or is their an issue of bugs etc and customs! ALSO= I have said to my wife that the more household and personnel items we ship over the more familiar things we will have to help us settle, in our new life together! Your views

Having been there and done that, I would recommend that you take as much as possible with you, especially personal items like pictures, ornaments etc. You are quite right, this will definitely help you settle in. You can always replace them at a later date when you are more settled.

After fsearching for years to find the right mattress, I've looked all over the web to see if it's available in Australia. It's an Italian Relaxsan mattress. It doesn't look like you can get them there. I'll be taking ours and buying one for my child to take as well. If you're not attached to your mattress, leave it and buy another in Aus. Try a web search to check out prices. It may not be worth it if you prefer a European brand.
