We are on our way to Perth hopefully week begining 13th Feb' (house completion 10th) and now have a million questions!??
Do tv's work in Perth? we have 3 good tv's, is it worth bringing them?
Is it true we can't bring fridge and freezers now?
How are they with woodern furniture? all our house seems to be pine!!??
I am told to bring all possible, is it expensive to replace electrics and furniture?
Do dvd's work?
Will i have a nervous breakdown before completion??!!
Thanks for any answers you can give, we were initially going to sell the lot, but are now looking at half container, so my stress levels are huge!!!!

|hello charlie b & co. i can answer two of your Q's. A1, dvd's will play if your dvd player is region 4. which is world wide. region 2 is europe. if it isnt region 4 then donate it to your nephew, or local zoo. i'm sure i'll be corrected on this if i'm wrong. and A2, due to the complexity and the nature of the prolonged wait suddenly coming to termination, and all correspondace is in place, and all interested parties are singing from the same hymn sheet, then yes, you will have a breakdown, due to the complexity and the nature of the prolonged wait suddenly coming to termination, and all the correspondance being in place, and all interested parties and signing from the same hynm sheet......
hope all goes well, and see you soon.

|Telly- Some do, some don't. We had no problem with ours, just plugged it in and it auto-tuned to aussie channels.
DVD- As said it depends. But it's so small in the scheme of things it will hardlymatterif you do bring it.
Fridge/Freezers- Some older F/F have CFC's and are not to be imported. However, the majority of newer F/F are fine. They say that they don't cope well with the Aussie heat though. However, we brought our half size fridge and freezer with us, no problem at all. We use our freezer as a second extra freezer and our fridge now lives outside with beer in it.
Pine Furniture- Treated wood is not an issue. Just make sure you declare it on the customs form this end.
We brought all ours as we got two quotes, one with everything and one without the bigger furniture. There was only |

|hi charlie have lived in perth wa for past 6 years back in uk on holiday can nnot answer question on electrical stuff to take but you can take all wooden items but they will be checked by the customers when arrive in port an dif found to be infected as australia protects its self as best it can from all imported stuff it will be destroyed at your cost however i took all of my furiture and had no problems at all but and was glad i did because the houses are so much bigger you will end up still need to buy more stuff. we took smaller electrical items and have had no probles just need to change the plugs do not be tempted to pack any food stuffs or wine in your cooontainer as it will be removed at customs Hope your move goes well and enjoy your new life in Aussie from dusty's friend liz good luck||
