does anybody know the possibility of taking our african grey parrot to perth from the uk.

Sorry to say, that I really don't think so!! I enquired on similar lines to try and bring in my Harris Hawk. I spoke to someone at a DIMIA department who made it quite clear that NO birds are allowed into the country under any circumstances. Especially birds of prey! But please feel free to make further enquiries of your own. Not that I think that your parrot would go round terrorising the local wildlife like a Hawk might!! KIEREN

Although they allow pigeons in! But I assume they're racing pigeons??? But our budgies couldn't come! Ushas

ok thanks kieren. will enquire, but im pretty sure the answer is no! will have to find her a new home i think, which is a shame as she is like one of the family.

We had to find new homes for our budgies and canaries and rabbits, even though the Q process from here is 7 months, they're not allowed in. I think especially now with all the avian flu scares they would definately not allow bird in, but check with the relocation agents.
