My 4yr old was admitted to hospital on Friday, viral menengitus seemed to be the caause. His peadiatrician had to do a spinal tap and as a mom to see your child going through pain is the worst feeling. We spent 5 nights in hospital and even though it was a private hospital with a private ward,,I just could not wait to go home. Wonder what i will do in AU when the day comes, am a person that yearns for home and its comforts even if i am away for just a few hours.Baby is much better, no visting or visitors for the next few days, docs orders.. Taking him for ct scans and xrays proved to be a nightmare, he was scared and had had enough so he kicked and cried and screamed, I had to get him to sleep in order to have the ct scans done. Throughout this experience i had to be brave and strong for my baby.
Last night we had supper after so many days of not being together as a family and I cried buckets. I cried for my baby and the pain he went through and for all the times that he had to have medication and IV`s and also for the times he had the strength to look at me and say 'love u mom ..u my darling'
