Offer to buy my house
24 Feb 2011
Well,,,3 weeks of tiring hell has finally ended.Put an ad in the local paper for 3 weeks.House for sale.Agents worried me constantly to sign a mandate with them, after hearing stories from so many people about how long they take to sell,I wanted to try selling it myself. That would make me understand what people are prepared to offer.

So glad OH and I decided to do this,we got 2 offers out of countless phone calls and visits by potential buyers. The buyers market is bad, bonds are hard to qualify for and the banks are not willing to just grant bonds without first viewing the property themselves.

This process alone would hold us back about 6 months.Well,we settled for slightly less because the buyer has cash to offer, which means no waiting, just a quicker deal.
Actually both offers were identical,so that got us thinking on accepting and moving on.After all that is what this whole process is about.

Even better news is that I happen to check the visa status page this morning and our health requirements are showing as finalised. Our pcc`s have been uploaded as of 2 days ago.

All in all its been a heck of a long journey, now we wait for the visa grant.
