If somebody were to accuse me of being a lucky so-and-so, I would have to agree with a smug look on my face. About 20 minutes ago, I heard someone knocking on the front door. I opened up to see two women in lumo mine uniforms on my doorstep. The one announced, 'We are here to clean your house.' Who was I to argue?! I greeted them warmly and they set to work. Baby was also delighted to have some daytime company other than mommy and greeted them with several endearing 'huyos!' ('Hello' in babyspeak.)
Fortunately I had decided that today was housecleaning day a little earlier (partially because I wanted to delay - just for a bit - having to go to town and transfer the funds out of my account for the car) so they didn't catch me in too bad a state. I had already emptied the dustbins, washed the breakfast dishes, stripped baby's bed, wiped down half the kitchen counters and started on a second load of laundry.
The ladies gave the house a good once over and changed the linen and sheets in about 10 minutes flat. Wow! Now I no option but to get dressed appropriately and walk to town to attend to today's business.
