I was sitting minding my own business surfing the Internet this afternoon, when I noticed someone mowing the lawn in the backyard. I didn't think too much of it as I was expecting a mower of lawns to materialise sooner or later but then I heard stones flicking against the windows on the other side of the house. Someone in a lumo mine uniform was out there weedeating. I then noticed another weedeater out in the back. And then finally I saw a huge lumo guy flying past the front window while sitting on one of those tractor lawnmovers. Like the cleaning squad, they flattened the whole job within minutes and then truddled off in their truck. Amazingly enough, this exercise never woke up baby who was having her afternoon nap. I think I could get used to this mine wife thing. I am still marvelling at how I made the transition from Sandton attorney to Australian outback mine wife in the space of a few years. Isn't life amazing!
