Safe and sound in Brisbane
28 Sep 2012
Well the time has rolled on beautifully. We are able to send in our citizenship application forms - 4 years since our visa. The path has had stony ground but it is so worth it. Hard but wonderful (probably sounds bizarre but true). Would not want it any other way and would not wish to be anywhere else. Children have embraced their new world and Paul and I have truly settled in well. Brisbane and the East Coast RULES!

We started the whole process in July 2007, and on the 7th August 2009 we arrived safley in Brisbane. We have settled in a place called Ormiston which is in the bay area close to Clevland, Raby Bay, Birkdale etc. Kids are at Ormiston College, which is only 800m up the road. When your Son says thank you for sending us to this School, you know you got something right.
As far as South Africa is concerned, I was the last Williams of our family to leave there, so lights are out and i really don't miss the place one bit. I have always maintained ,if a country supports you and looks after you, they deserve you full support in all aspects of life. I know some differ, but thats what makes the world a beautiful place.
So, thank you Australia for having me. Our new life begins from now.
