House sale

Well its all systems go for buying our first home here in Oz. Sold sign is now on the house, papers all sgned and we are aiming for settlement 31st July. So far have been very impressed with the whole system it seems so much smoother and less stressful than buying in the UK. One of the best contacts we have made here was Ian an estate agent whose house we rented when we first arrived here, he has been a great help with practical advice throughout this process.
What has amazed me is that most of the paperwork is done in your home - in the Uk we were forever having to make appointments to go to solictors for signing stuff. We like tha fact that once the offer is accepted we dont have to be worried about seller accepting higher offers etc.
Better get a start on the packing soon, we seem to have done that so many times in the last year that i cant wait to finally unpack for what i hope will be the last time for a few years.
The girls are busy planning their colour schemes for their bedrooms - think we will be busy over the next few weeks.
