Our first family gathering was at Point Walter on the Swan. We love nothing better than to get together mob handed. Point Walter is brilliant, quite busy, but we had dogs with us so were restricted to the doggy area which was quieter than further along. We were fascinated by the mass of tiny hermit crabs scurrying around on the sand. Quite disconcerting the first time you pick up an innocuous shell only to discover it's someone's home. Kieran fell out of a tree, all the ladies in the family rushed to his aid while the men just sat and did what men do best, sit back, sip the beer and give after the event advice. Fortunately his pride was more dented than his body and apart from a few scrapes he was okay.
Tuesday was our eldest daughter Jo's 40th and our 41st anniversary. We picked up Bee and headed to the Feral brewery for a super lunch. Much quieter than the weekends I have to say.
