Thanks everyone for your words of support and encouragement. Geoff came home from his course today much brighter after he passed his assessment with flying colours. We have had a heart to heart and he has had a chat with his cousin who is here and he is feeling more positive.
It is nice to know there are so many people on here that I can rely on for support when we really need it and I hope I can do the same for others one day.
I will keep you all posted and thankyou all xxx

We have been here almost 6 weeks now and I love it, the kids have settled into school really well but Geoff is really struggling with homesickness. He is currently doing the course for his A licence and he hates it. He is really negative about everything at the moment and desperately wants to go back to the UK. To what, I don't know because we have only just got enough money left to pay for us to get back home so we would have absolutely nothing and would have to start from scratch. I think he thinks he can just go back to his old job and carry on where he left off. But I don't even think he would get his job back as times are hard at his company. And I know I won't be able to get my job back (not that I would want to) as they have got a recruitment freeze on. When we first came out we promised each other we would give it two years and if either one of us wanted to go home we would all go as a family. Going back after only 6 weeks just doesn't bear thinking about for me. He thinks I don't understand and am being selfish for not going back and I think vice versa. I did tell him he could go back on his own, I am so wicked!! As we came on his visa I don't think I can stay if he doesn't!! So I am going to have to try to persuade him to give it more time as the first few weeks are always the worst, wish me luck !!
