what a diffeence a year makes
27 Nov 2010
Gosh, hadn't realised it was a year since I last posted on here, where did that time go. Still living in Perth (Currambine) and had another great year in Oz. Now working in Joondalup at the West Coast Tafe which makes family life so much easier. Kids still well settled and Daisy talks like a real Aussie!
Went back to England on my own last month as my dad was taken ill and sadly died before I landed. I was very surprised at my reaction at being back as it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I remembered! Since been back in WA, I have struggled to adjust with Aussie life, feel very isolated away from my family and feeling really helpless not been able to support my mum. Even though I have a brother and sister there, I just wish there was more I could do.
It has really put things into perspective for me and as much as I love Oz, I just want to go home and be with my family. Unfortunately it is not viable for us financially at the moment so will just have to keep playing lotto!!
