I thought of writing a good and bad list of things here, but it would be very unbalanced as there are so few bad things. Cadbury's chocolate would be one - nearly the same but just not quite the ooomph!
Went to Mullaloo Beach today which has to be the most beautiful beach I've ever been on (beats Brighton hands down). And we just love Hillary's Harbour, have been there 3 times in less than a week (ditto to Brighton Marina). I've taken the kids to the WA Museum which was great and had a lovely lunch with them at the Art Gallery, outdoors in the sunshine in the middle of a city and it just didn't feel at all citified (not a city girl, as you can tell). The train fare was incredibly cheap and the trains were clean and civilised and... on time!
The shopping here is unbelievable, so many shops, so much choice - I'm not a great shopper and I find it all a bit overwhelming but really it's great and all so accessible.
And then things go horribly wrong with the females in my family and I have my Mum and my daughter both in tears and wanting us to catch the first plane home.
One minute I feel like Tigger, the next I'm Eeyore. Thank goodness for the duty free bottle of vodka. Recipe number 5. Vodka and whatever juice wasn't finished at breakfast! I call it Poohsticks.
