And what a 3 months! They say time is relative well, it seems more like 3 years the amount we've done in the last 3 months. It's been a scary, white knuckle ride and certainly not for the faint hearted but even on bad days it really helps to be miserable when the sun is shining!
Asked the kids how they were feeling about it all, both say they want to stay here. They both want to go back to England to visit people we're missing but they don't want to go back to live. There is no doubt that it is a fabulous way of life here - paradise for kids. But we now have to watch the pennies in a way we didn't have to in England and things aren't always that much cheaper here. So quality of life vs standard of living? The jury is still out and will be for a while.
We're busy looking for a house to buy, saw the perfect house without the perfect garden. Another really nice house but near a not perfect noisy road. And plenty of perfect houses without the perfect price tags! We want to be out of our rental by the time our lease is up (end of April) and it won't be a moment too soon. Renting isn't for everyone and it certainly isn't for us. Can't wait to start painting everything white, white, white (I have a problem, yes, I know!)
Looking forward to the next 3 months and hoping that things are a smoother ride as it has been a bit bumpy at times!
