David has found a running partner, one of my friends husband, he is also going to do golf with him ( something he has always wanted to do but never got round to it!) So its nice that he is making friends too. I have been invited to a girls weekend aways, cant wait, about 8 of us going to Moore river for a couple of nights, no kids, no men - cant wait!!
Making more friends through school and work. Have met 2 families from scotland and have been to both their homes, for drinks and house warming party. Had a meal out with the girls last week and one of their friends i met at the party and we had a great night. David gets on well with their husbands too which is great and we are really looking forward to spending more time with them. Fitting in well at work too and get on with most people and most are really pleased i am staying working on the ward.
We went to our first 'Aussie Move' meet a few people off the website. Jo and Jason organised it and then they invited a few of us 'new ones' to a BBQ at their house where they made us feel very welcome and fed us great food! We had a fab evening and were able to see where Jo and Jason are having their house built - very exciting for them! I have had coffee with Kim (Kimcatt) a few times and they are coming over to ours for a BBQ this saturday evening. Their two daughters are lovely and the eldest walks Harry to school sometimes in the morning. Its nice to be able to talk to others going through the same as yourself and of course making new friends.
