|cant believe its been over 3 months since we arrived already! seems like we have been here for alot longer than that! well, heard good news not long ago, for those who have been following my blog - my ex has agreed to sign the for to give georgia permission to saty here when she here comes in July!!!! not counting my chickens just yet though but as you can imagine, i am WELL CHUFFED!! I am settling in well at Joondalup Health Campus and am glad i made the tranfer from Charlies as so much closer to get to. Davids job is going ok and he came home with $150 Coles vouchers on fridays so we spent it on lots of really yummy food!!!! Harry is still loving it here, getting on well at school and enjoying his after school club. He enjoys playing football (thats the 'proper' football!!) with David in one of the parks here in Woodvale and going to the beach at Mullaloo. He loves the football on Foxtell and wearing trainers to school - what more does a boy of 7 want??!! We have just had a fab weekend away in Bunbury and visited Busselton, we saw loads of dolphins on the boat trip at Bunbury which was fantastic! The weather has been lovely since we arrived. we had rain today for the afternoon, apart from that we have had rain twice, both times for about an hour and then the sun came out, so cant complain!! Woodvale is still the place for us but dont really like living where we do as a bit too close to Whitfords Avenue which can be very noisy. But defo want to stay round here. |
Things we like
Hilarys Boat Harbour - usually pop down for an ice-cream on Friday nights and look at all the boats and dream!
Eating out- its sooooooooo cheap!
BYO - what a great idea!!!
Our local Italian - Buffet is fantastic (isnt it Kim and Neil!!!)
Laid back attitude
Mullaloo beach - been to many beaches in the world and this has to be one of the best!
The weather - say no more
Having a pool in the back garden
Roads going down south- just get on it and drive!
Things we dont like
The 'hoons' - why are there sooooooooo many noisy cars here?!!
All the 4x4,s (dont mean to offend anyone) but has noone heard of being Eco -friendly???
The driving - can be pretty hair-raising at times!! I nearly got knocked over the other day
Places shut early, like restaurants (twice we have been last ones in Italian at 10pm, havent we Kim and Neil!)
Cant think of anything esle really at the mo
Just that i really like it here and would hate to go back to UK now. Cant wait to get PR and maybe cut my hours down at work but i can wait for that! Its not perfect here and definately not 'paradise' ( there is rising crime and drug/alcohol problem) but where is?
If anyone wants any info or advice, please dont hesitate to ask as i got loads of adive and help off others on here and at times thought we,d never get here. We plan to visit my eldest brother in Melbourne next year and visit maybe Sydney and David has spoke of driving down to Adelaide one day.
