Interviews
01 Aug 2008
had a telephone interview with 'charlies' hospital this morning. It went really well and they are hoping to offer me a place on their graduae programme for next February, So if i get offered i will have to decide whether to go with them or ramsay health which is a nice position to be in! Better than the one we,re in with the house sale anyways!!

Thanks for that Ange. do you know if i can apply for PR even though i am only just qualified? I know it takes about a year to process but if we are not going to be moving till summer next year(back to original plans!) it might seem the best thing to do. By the time it gets processed i would have 1 years experience. its probably best to go for PR, then we would have access to centrelink benefits, i know its not much but it all helps! I know im stressing (sorry Audrey!) but im kind of stuck in the middle at the mo waiting on the grad programme.

Audrey, thankyou for you kind words yet again!
have sent you an e-mail with timetables attached and link to transperth home page. for anyone else who is interested it is www.transperth.wa.gov/au. forgot to mention that the cost of a ticket from perth to joondalup is $4.20 and from perth to clarkson it is $4.90. if you buy a smartrider card (prepaid) it deducts the journeys fare from the balance you have on it. this gives you a 15% discount. hope this helps.

Had a telephone interview with joondalup health campus (ramsay health) this morning. It went really well and Rhonda and Julie who interviewed me made me feel really comfortable and were very friendly. They will be in touch with me in a couple of weeks and start date will be either February or August next year. The only trouble is by next august i will have 1 years post qualifying experience so wont be able to do the grad programme anyways. Had an e-mail from Jannina today, she said i might be going backwards if i joined the grad programme, so even if i get offered a place in February it might not be the best thing for me to do as i will have 6 months experience then. Wished i had thought about joining the programme sooner, i could have been starting this august (same time as sarah). Also, if we are not going to be moving over till next summer we are probably best to apply for PR now as we will have time to do so. Cant really decide until i hear back about the grad programme from ramsay health and DOH anyhow. But glad the interview went well and i suppose it is a step in the right direction.
