Wow cannot believe a month has passed by, its gone fast. We moved into our house and we have settled in very nicely, replaced the furniture that we sold back home in South Africa and was impressed with our bargain hunting. Roy left mid May to go back to work so I was officially all on my own. My new car arrived, and had to go through the learning experience of regestring an interstate car, wow as for the stamp duty need we go there. It was a painfull experience however I got it done, even down to changing my own plates.
Then the flood hit us here in Springfield QLD - that was my big downer, water starting coming into the house. Thats when I realised how much I was missing home and wanted to go back. Think it was more the support system that I had back home.
But had to pick myself up again and move on. Kiona and Sacha have settled in very well, loving Australia with Kiona getting a bit of an accent their. I took them to Gabba Stadium for their first Live Aussie rules game and they were estatic.
Roy is due home on the 12th and cannot wait, got to get us bikes and start cyclling with kids their bikes arrive next week wed when mom and dad come down from up country.
Container arrives today so hopefully will have our goods in the next 10 days.
Overall still enjoying Australia, its difficult mostly being on your own, but so worth it compared to back home in South Africa.
I find the day to day cost of living reasonable cheap as well as accommodation. But Eating out, and simple entertainment such as movies with kids etc very expensive.
Chat soon and all out there good luck with visas it will come through soon
