What a day! What a day! I've spent the entire morning searching for our passports and unabridged birth and marriage certificates. Can you believe that anyone could be so stupid to misplace them! I eventually found them in my office draw (after the third time looking)! They had slipped right to the back so could only be found once I emptied the whole draw out! I've been walking around with a huge knot in my stomach! My colleagues have been looking at me sympathetically, thinking I'm in the throws of a divorce or death in the family. There are 4 most stressful D's in life.... death, divorce, debt and mine..... DEPARTURE!

We received our TRN yesterday. I went online and am a bit confused by the application status. We were advised by our migration agent that our status would read as 'documents outstanding' but it reads as 'processing commenced'. I'm sure most of you will be familiar with the online applications. Does that mean that we have miraculously jumped the queue or am I to expect that it will read the same for the next 6 months! We are applying for permanent residence and I believe it takes 8 - 10 months! How will we know when a case officer has been assigned? Do the immigration request medicals etc?

So many questions!!!!
