Subiaco (pronounced soo-bee-acko) is located on the north-western side of Kings Park, only 3-4km from the Perth CBD. Subiaco is well known for its theatres and its cafés and boutique shops around Rokeby Road.

The suburb is well placed for access to Perth CBD by road or rail (Subiaco station is 3 stops from Perth). Kings Park and the Swan River are within a short drive and the beach at Cottesloe is some 6-7km away.

In recent years the popularity of Subiaco has increased, brought about mainly by the sinking of the railway and an urban redevelopment project known as Subi Centro, comprising parkland, commercial and residential buildings.

The other main feature of the Subiaco landscape is the Subiaco Oval - home to both of Perth s AFL football teams - the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers.
